Starfish Education has been selected as one of 130 organizations selected by the Department of Education's 2022 Beneficiaries Selection Committee, in order to honor and exemplify their contribution to the mission of the Ministry of Education.

Starfish Education's mission is to provide all children in Thailand with an equal opportunity to access quality education through innovative learning programs and technological solutions that seek to address public education gaps in Thailand. Therefore, in addition to working to transform the way Starfish Education approaches, we aim to create a wider positive impact through working with our partners.

Starfish Education has worked with the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) to disseminate rules and procedures on personnel management for government teachers and other education professionals through the platform www.starfishlabz.com, and through our Starfish Labz Facebook page, so that they have a better understanding of new academic criteria assessment systems which lead to the development of teaching and learning in the classroom that focuses on learners.

Additionally, Starfish Education operates through three key roles:

1. Proactive school development through the School Self-Development Support Program (TSQP), Batch 1 and Batch 2, together with EEF.

2. Support for learning, including supporting the body of knowledge for educators, through the Starfish Labz online platform (www.starfishlabz.com) and supporting 1,500 Learning Boxes to schools in our network in order restore learning regression experienced by students and schools.

3. Strive to serve as a model school for developing a competency-based curriculum. Ban Pla Dao School is one of 265 schools approved for competency-based curriculum, and received a gold medal in the “1 School, 1 Innovation” initiative at the regional and national levels with its Learning Box program.

Starfish Education is honored to have participated in the MOE event, and aims to be one of the solutions that continue solving problems in Thai education.
