Dr. Nanthaporn Janchalia Seributra, CEO of Starfish Education, attended the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2024 on June 13th, 2024 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. It is a conference organized by Times Higher Education (www.timeshighereducation.com) in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. It is an annual international conference that focuses on cooperation from the education sector around the world, and is a platform for exchanging knowledge for sustainable educational development. It includes participation from educational organizations, thinkers, educators, policy makers and more than 3,000 key players all over the world.
Dr. Seributra was invited as a speaker for a seminar on the topic "Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Future Workforce" where she shared her vision and experience in applying digital technology to upgrading skills and strengthening the potential of personnel for maximum efficiency. She spoke about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in today's world in many sectors. Technology manufacturers themselves must pay attention to the quality of AI and all stakeholders should be aware of their responsibilities in using AI technology, which will have an impact on children and youth in the education sector. Emphasis should be placed on social and emotional skills along with the use of AI.
Additionally, microcredentials and their use as a system that facilitates those who are interested in self-improvement can actually be beneficial. If there is a push for microcredentials to happen in Thailand, it will result in students being able to use it for real benefit, whether it is used to work in the industrial labor sector or as also a good way to create Lifelong Learning.
For those interested in self-improvement, Starfish Education has an online learning platform (www.starfishlabz.com). Its curriculum has been designed to be concise, with learners able to apply the knowledge learned immediately. It also responds well to the needs of self-development in today's modern era.Â
